Adam will show how He thinks and works with wheel-thrown hollow shapes and wire.
You will learn how to create the right conditions for beautiful errors and accidents to occur.
Like glass blowing, He distorts the air bubble trapped in the clay, which it opens with cutting and fracturing.
COURSE CONTENT
Explore the process of making wheel-thrown, distorted hollow forms to create unusually shaped ceramic sculptures and vessels.
You will be taken through a step-by-step process to create a set shape, as well as developing your own forms.
By the end of the week, you will have a grounding of skills to continue to make art pieces or sculptural vessels, and have at least one item finished and ready for firing. The tutor offers a format to follow, but it is also possible to implement individual ideas.
Please indicate these at the beginning of the course.
You must have spent some time throwing prior to the course but you do not need to be an advanced level.
It will help to be able to centre the clay and have some confidence pulling up the clay but
anything you make can be adapted to take into account your skill level.
The workshop language will be Hungarian and English.
