Alchemists of Clay exhibiton

A Selection from the Collection of the International Ceramic Studio opened on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Szombathely Képtár Gallery.

The exhibition features more than a hundred contemporary works from a collection of nearly four thousand ceramics indcluding few pieces from ERROR N’ MORE.

The aim of the exhibition is to showcase the professional quality, past and present of the International Ceramics Studio. In addition to the ceramic objects, historical overviews, descriptions, photos, screenings, catalogs, and leaflets help visitors gain a comprehensive picture of the Studio's activities and spirit. The title refers to the metamorphosis that results from the encounter between material and fire, as well as to the experimental, innovative attitude. The selection presents three basic directions: functional pieces, sculptural compositions, and transitional works. What makes the exhibition special is that in addition to ceramic artists, it also features works by goldsmiths, sculptors, and painters, as well as large-scale works that rarely leave the Studio's walls.
